So, that was really interesting:in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Temple University asked Lauren, Chair of Democrats Abroad Japan, to speak to a group of Temple students and other interested folks about the issue of race in the Presidential Election and, especially, of course, the candidacy of Barack Obama.

I’m bad at crowd numbers, but it was a good-sized, diverse group of people: students, teachers, media people, researchers for various institutes. TV cameras rolling. This is part 1 of a two-part media ‘day’: we’re going to speak again tonight on NHK. No clear picture how that’ll work, who’s interviewing us, etc. This all came together at the last moment, as media requests usually do - when we have the program details I’ll post them up here.

Now I have to go continue the process of setting up the home office, getting in touch with folks, doing proposals…

See you around town!

Terri
