I just read about Yack Track from Corvida’s Shegeeks, so I’m going to do my part as a human information filter, and say that…I like the idea, and will go on and sign up. update: not so much with the sign up - just use a blog post url and track manually…hmmm…

I’m working on my secret project launch, and as I set up the infrastructure it’s clear that tracking the conversations that my conversations start will be a big help to…

well, to what, exactly?

I had to stop and think about that: it’s not that I want people to follow my conversations that stem from this secret project because they’re my conversations. In fact, lately, I’ve been feeling a bit down, because I’m not naturally as good at constructive criticism as Corvida, or Tyme. And I do think that’s a skill I need to work on.

However they are there sharing what’s best about them, and I’m glad they’re doing it. And, what I share is serious good people-ishness: folks feel relaxed around me (generally) and so they feel there’s open space to speak. So, that’s what the secret project will capitalize on…other folks will bring the constructive criticism. It will be my job to bring the feel-good :-)

………..
So, what was I saying…? oh yeah, so, I’m going to check out Yack Track and report back!

WebWorkerDaily:GTD for Bloggers is one of my favorite sites for ideas, tips and encouragement for people who blog and otherwise work on the web. I have a tendency to want everything to be perfect, and not just ‘good enough’, and so I have cycled through organizing systems like crazy. WWD assures me that I’m not alone, and in fact, many entrepreneurs struggle with these same issues.

But, this year, I decided, since I’m in charge of just about every aspect of how my life looks, I can implement a modified version of Getting Things Done. And limit my tweaking time. And, in some ways most important: I can say no when I know it’s best to do so.

If you’re a blogger and want to reduce the stress involved, I highly recommend the Web Worker Daily article. And if you’re a human and want to enjoy your life a lot more, I highly recommend GTD. The book is on my merry-go-round (middle bar, below), but you can get it at any English bookstore here, I think.

And now, I’m off to get some things… and do them :-)
