Yup, that’s where I am now. I shot a project for a friend last week, for a presentation she’s doing on Thursday. So, we:

1. Pieced together the story she wants to tell

2. Worked out the assets she has (photos, the video we shot at hers and her Sensei’s studios).

3. Started creating the assets we need. Ever since that initial story meeting, I’ve had a melody going around my head, made of her company name. I sang it, recorded it, she liked it, and I worked up a backing track over the weekend.

You wouldn’t think it to look at her, but she wanted a sound that’s full of beats. And so she shall have one.

4. I’m used to hiring my camera and editing crew and directing the process of creating the story and that the client and I came up with. But, with all the new things going on in the life of the business, and with the needs of this particular project, I’m a one-stop shop this time. I’m kind of surprised at how much I’m loving it!

5. Some of the assets are delayed a bit, so I’m going to be pushing the deadine for the rough draft. That means that all of the other elements should be done by tomorrow morning, so that I can assemble them as soon as the assets arrive, and get it to her to check, then work until the final version is done and ready to go.

Tools: I’m working in: Motion for the Intro and Outro, Final Cut Studio for the video edit, Soundtrack + my little keyboard for the track.

Will upload when it’s done. And, by the way, the event is going to be awesome: 6 ladies presenting their business ideas for feedback from a distinguished panel. This is the October FEW event, and the details are here:
